All Projects — Nebraska Cancer Coalition
As part of my work with the Nebraska Cancer Coalition (NC2), I contributed to multiple health awareness campaigns aimed at educating communities and promoting cancer prevention efforts across Nebraska. My role involved creating engaging social media content, crafting strategic messaging, and developing outreach materials to maximize audience engagement.
These projects covered a range of important cancer prevention and early detection initiatives. Each campaign required a thoughtful approach to public health communication, ensuring the message resonated with the intended audience while aligning with NC2’s mission.
At the Nebraska Cancer Coalition, I contributed to a breast cancer awareness campaign by creating the logo and slogan "Mammos for the Masses." This project also involved designing two full-page informational sheets on risk factors, crafting social media content to educate diverse audiences, and writing radio ad scripts focused on promoting early detection. Each deliverable was designed to convey important information with compassion, motivating awareness and action. Visit the full project to learn more about my work in this campaign.
Husker Harvest Days, held September 10-12 in Grand Island, Nebraska, is a premier event in the agricultural industry, bringing together farmers, exhibitors, and industry leaders. For the Nebraska Cancer Coalition’s booth, I created social media posts and an informational board to raise awareness about their mission and available resources. The posts focused on key initiatives such as cancer screenings and support services, while the informational board provided attendees with important health information. These efforts aimed to engage visitors and ensure they had access to critical cancer-related resources throughout the event.
I wrote four radio ad scripts for the Nebraska Cancer Coalition—two 30-second and two 15-second spots—targeting two key audiences: young teens and adults as well as rural and agricultural communities. Each script used relatable settings, like a day at the beach or working in the fields, to connect with listeners and emphasize the importance of sun safety and prevention. These targeted messages reinforced NC2’s commitment to reducing skin cancer risks across Nebraska.
As part of the Nebraska Cancer Coalition’s National Survivorship campaign, I developed a nine-post social media series connecting cancer survivors and their families with essential support resources. The posts covered a range of topics, including emotional well-being, practical assistance, lifestyle guidance, and alternative care options, encouraging viewers to explore NC2’s website for more information. This campaign focused on empathetic, informative messaging to help survivors navigate life beyond cancer.

Nebraska Cancer Coalition — Survivorship Resources
One of my first real projects at the Nebraska Cancer Coalition was a social media campaign focused on survivorship resources. Despite being new to the task, I quickly adapted and helped craft posts that highlighted various support resources for cancer survivors, such as mental health counseling, travel and lodging assistance, and more. The campaign aimed to raise awareness and connect survivors with the help they needed, and through this experience, I gained valuable skills in social media content creation and audience engagement while learning how to adapt to new challenges effectively.
